Launch Rocksmith 2014 by either opening Steam and running it from "Library", or launch it from the Mac Launchpad by clicking on "Rocksmith 2014" Select the "Local Files" tab and click on "Browse Local Files" You can also find the folder by opening Steam and going to your games library and right-clicking on Rocksmith 2014, and choosing "Properties". You can then drag the dlc folder to your sidebar to create a permanent link. It is a hidden folder, so the easiest way to find it is to open Finder, and using the "Go" menu, select " Go To Folder" and paste the location in there. The location is: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014 I'll put instructions for that down below. If they end in "_p.psarc" they are PC only versions and will need to be converted with the Toolkit. **If you encounter a permissions error, see the note below**ĭownload the customs you want. This will patch the Rocksmith 2014 app file to allow cDLC's to work. Unzip the patch file and double-click on "RUN_PATCH_RS.command" to run the patch. Your user account needs to be an Administrator account. I wish I could present you a fix as Christmas or New Year’s gift but I don’t think I can. Here are all the steps (read them carefully) : I know that some of you might see me as desperate last chance, and I’ll do my best to get it working. So I’m very grateful for everyone’s patience, excitement and help in fixing this, you all are a very great community and the staff can be happy to have you here. It is supposed to work similarly (since the game is translated through Rosetta) but each time we find something that might be the cause for it not working we find out a few days later that it’s not the problem, My gf helps me but we don’t know what changed since Big Sur to break it, and we don’t know how different M1 is either. This is a lot of a learning experience for me because I have not worked on M1 yet. Thanks to helpful people on Discord I have the possibility of remotely accessing one already and can figure out more by using a debugger and proper logging. I’ve been sick lately and haven’t had much motivation to work on this but after Christmas I’ll have an M1 Mac of my own. Hey y’all, quick update on the M1/Monterey CDLC patch.
